two minute warnings

This is a greasemonkey to be notified when sports events reach a certain point -- e.g. the two minute warning in football.

In its current form you need to be running greasemonkey on firefox. If you know how to install these, here is the script.

Once installed, here's how you use this thing.

  1. Whenever you visit ESPN's scoreboard you'll see a new row at the bottom of a scoreboard with Set and Unset buttons. The value here says to notify you when this game reaches this time. Here I want to be notified at the two minute warning in the Saints game.

Note, I take into account the quarters when looking at the current time. So in this example the current time is 49:19, not 9:19.
  2. Once you enter a valid time and click Set you'll first be prompted to enter an email address at which you want to be notified. Then you'll see the box changes to show that you have set an alarm.

Note you can always change the contact email by going to the menu item Tools → Greasemonkey → User Script Commands → Set contact for 2MWs. Also, note that you can always unset the alarm by clicking Unset.

Finally note you can't use the mail sending or any part of this malitiously or in any manner not intended.

To use you must be running greasemonkey on firefox. So, I'll mention both.

  1. Install firefox.
  2. Install greasemonkey.
  3. Go to the link twominutewarnings.user.js a click the Install button in the upper right. If you don't see this button you haven't installed greasemonkey correctly -- in which case return to step #2.

First release.
